Germany Secures Schwedt Refinery Supplies From Poland

Poland has committed to send enough oil to the Schwedt refinery from January to reach a capacity of 70%, Germany's economy ministry state secretary said.

  • "Poland wants to take this step together with us," the ministry said.
  • Germany would look to increase supplies from elsewhere including from Kazakhstan to secure supplies to the Schwedt refinery.
  • Germany has been working together with Poland to secure supplies for the refinery as Germany will stop importing Russian crude oil from the end of this year.
