Germany to Trigger Phase2: Russian Supply Disruption Continues

European benchmark TTF gas prices are trading 3.25% higher at 131.6€/MWh as reports say Germany will trigger the second stage of their emergency gas plan later. German Economy Minister Habeck is due to speak on “energy and supply security” at 10:00 CET.

  • Russian supply to Europe via Nord Stream is nominated to be unchanged from yesterday at just 64.7mcm/d compared to the normal max capacity of 167mcm/d. Flows through Ukraine via Sudzha are very slightly higher at 42.6mcm/d.
  • Norwegian supply is nominated at 300.6mcm/d compared to an average of 321 last week. An outage at Troll due to a compressor failure is adding to some planned maintenance to reduce flows.
  • European gas storage is at 55.36 based on data from 21st June.
