Germany’s Leuna Refinery Adjusts Processes After Druzhba Leak

Germany’s Leuna oil refinery has adjusted its processes, a precaution measure amid a leak in the Druzhba pipeline, according to Bloomberg.

  • Operator TotalEnergies said that it did not expect any supply bottlenecks, according to a company spokesperson.
  • Poland has stopped oil flows through parts of the western section of the Druzhba pipeline following a leak on late Saturday. Flows are expected to resume on Tuesday according to Polish pipeline operator PERN.
  • Germany’s economy ministry said supply security is not threatened by the disruption, with the Leuna and Schwedt refineries still operating, according to a spokeswoman.
