Gilts 10s30s inverts as core FI is lower across the board

BONDS
  • Gilts have opened lower this morning, with futures already breaching yesterday's low of 97.14, with a low of 96.72 as gilts saw another 100 ticks range on the open. We are now trading closer around 70 ticks above today's low with further flattening of the 10s30s curve by 1.3bp to move it into inverted territory.
  • Treasuries and Bunds are both lower than yesterdays close too helped by spillover from weakness at the long-end of the JGB curve and a couple of TY futures block trades. Equities are also lower this morning.
  • 2s10s curves are steeper by 2-3bp across USTs, Germany and gilts.
