GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: Gilts are trading a little stronger as equities and Sterling have
weakened, as PM May's Brexit deal looks increasingly shaky.
- The Dec 18 Gilt future is up 33 ticks at 123.13, having traded in a range of
123.02-123.23 today.
- The 2-Yr yield is down 1.9bps at 0.757%, 5-Yr is down 2.7bps at 0.948%, 10-Yr
is down 3.3bps at 1.377%, and 30-Yr is down 2.1bps at 1.953%.
- Short-Sterling futures up 3-4 ticks from Mar20 onward.
- Focus remains on PM May`s potential Brexit deal, passage of which on the first
vote - now set officially for Dec 11 - looks increasingly remote.
- US Pres Trump Monday said the agreement wouldn`t allow his country to reach a
said early Tues if vote on Brexit was held today it would be hard to win, but
that if lost, May can stay on as leader.
- May begins a nationwide campaign for public support on the deal today.
- Thin on data today, November CBI distributive trades data at 1100GMT.
