GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: - Gilts have oscillated throughout the day, with yields broadly
trending higher.
- The benchmark 2-year gilt trades at 0.751% up from a session low of 0.734%,
while the 10-year trades at 1.451% up from a low of 1.417%.
- The curve has steepened since midday with the 2s10s spread widening to 69.4bps
up from 67.4bps and the 2s30s trading up to 104.9bps from 103.3bps.
- Market-based measures of inflation expectations continued to edge lower with
the 5-year breakeven trading at 3.03% and the 10-year at 3.05%.
- The short sterling futures strip is 2.0-3.0 ticks lower.
- Cable has rallied on the back of EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier
appearing to give a mildly positive assessment of the UK's post-Brexit white
paper. 
- Next week will see the release of international trade, industrial production,
services and monthly GDP data.
