GILT SUMMARY: Gilts have recovered from their intraday lows Monday, reflecting
US equities heading lower on the open, but remain weaker on the day.
- The Long Gilt future is 4 ticks lower at 121.44, having traded between a range
of 121.28-121.61.
- The cash Gilt curve is mixed but weaker overall, with 2-Yr yields up 0.1bps at
0.817%, 5-Yr up 0.8bps at 1.135%, 10-Yr up 0.5bps at 1.534%, and 30-Yr up 0.1bps
at 1.877%.
- Short Sterling futures are mixed, with White contracts up a tick and Greens
down a tick.
- It is a thin UK data calendar until Wednesday, which sees Aug CPI and PPI
data, followed Thursday by Aug Retail Sales and Aug Public Sector Net Borrowing.
- BOE Chief Econ Haldane speaks in Estonia on Wednesday, while Brexit headlines
are set to be prevalent at the Weds-Thurs EU leaders' summit in Salzburg.
