GILT SUMMARY: Gilts remain near day's highs as equities have reversed lower, and
as PM May's discussions in Brussels with EU leaders is awaited.
- The Dec 18 future is up 45 ticks at 121.08, near the high of the daily range
of 120.74-121.12 today.
- The curve has rallied in bull flattening fashion, with 2-Yr yield down 2.3bps
at 0.794%, 5-Yr down 3.3bps at 1.135%, 10-Yr down 4.3bps at 1.566%, and 30-Yr
down 4.4bps at 1.952%.
- Short Sterling futures are on the front foot, focused on the far end: Green
and Blue contracts up 4 ticks.
- Weaker FTSE also boosting Gilts, down 0.5% on the day at 7,025, vs high of
7,089 earlier.
- Weak inflation data in the morning also boosting Gilts. Thursday sees Sep
retail sales inc & ex auto fuel MoM & YoY at 0930BST.
- PM May set to meet with EU leaders in Brussels this evening, main event is
address to peers at 1800BST.
