Global Airline Capacity Falls 0.61% on Week: OAG

Global scheduled airline capacity has fallen by 0.61% in the week commencing March 4, according to OAG.

  • Total airline capacity is seen at 105.99 m seats this week, down 0.65m seats.
  • This is also a downward revision from OAG’s forward schedule which expected capacity this week to be 107.43m seats.
  • Domestic capacity in the week commencing March 4 is set to fall 1.33% to 64.45m seats. This follows a decline of 1.07% last week.
  • International capacity is continuing to rise, up 0.55% this week to 41.54m seats. The increase is also up from the 0.21% rise in the week commencing Feb. 26.
