Global Airline Passenger Capacity Down 0.58% On Week: OAG

Global airline passenger capacity for the week commencing Feb. 26 is set to fall by 0.58% to 106.64m seats, according to OAG.

  • This is the first weekly decline since the week beginning Jan. 15, based on OAG data.
  • Driving the decline is falling domestic capacity, which is set to fall by 1.07% to 65.32m seats.
  • In contrast, international capacity is up 0.21% to 41.32m seats.
  • OAG’s forecast for whole-month February remains at 440.45m seats, up 13.1% year-on-year.
