Global Diesel Markets Flooded with Product Easing Sanction Fears

Global diesel imports in January were up by about 1.7mbd year-on-year - about 3 times the size of the Russian diesel reshuffling challenge according to Vortexa.

  • Vortexa warns that the current focus on diesel could lead to tightness in gasoline and naphtha markets in the coming weeks and months.
  • Similarly lofty diesel exports suggest the market is well supplied as refiners push towards higher diesel yields on prior expectations of a tighter market.
