JET FUEL
Global jet fuel demand in the week commencing June 25 is set to rise by 1.4% to 6.95m b/d, according to BNEF as passengers rush to their summer holidays.
- Upcoming flights schedules show growth in implied jet fuel demand across all regions; the Middle East and North Africa are leading the rise, up by 3.1% on the week.
- In China, scheduled domestic flight count is set to increase by over 3% to over 100k flights between June 25 to July 1
- Demand in Asia is up 1.9% on the week to 2.023m b/d. This is up 9.6% year-on-year.
- Domestic flight demand is up 1.3% on the week to 2.631m b/d, while international demand is up 1.4% to 4.322m b/d.
