Global Jet Fuel Demand Set for Weekly Gain

Implied global jet fuel demand in the week to Dec. 18 is set to rise by 0.6% on the week to 6m b/d, according to BNEF.

  • North America is on track to drive the weekly demand increase, up 1%, while Western Europe is rising by 0.7%.
  • All other regions apart from Asia are set to see demand rise on the week.
  • Jet fuel demand from domestic and international flights are set for a 0.02% fall and a 1.0% rise on the week, respectively.
  • Domestic flights in China are set to grow 8.8% over the next four weeks, according to current schedules. However, schedules in China are frequently amended at short notice.
