Global Jet Fuel Demand up 2.7% on Week: BNEF

Global implied jet fuel demand in the week to Feb. 26 is set to rise by 2.7% on the week to 6.26m b/d according to BNEF.

  • Rising demand from Asia, North America and Western Europe are set to drive 80% of this week’s growth.
  • All regions are set for a week-on-week rise in jet fuel consumption excluding Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • In China, the number of domestic flights is set to rise by 2% over the next four weeks, although the schedules are subject to last-minute changes.
  • Jet fuel prices have dropped globally on the week but are hovering at similar levels to the same period in 2023.
  • USGC 54 Colonial Pasadena was $2.72/gal Feb. 16, down 18 cents/gal on the week.
