EQUITIES: Global stocks have bounced off earlier lows, but remain under pressure
as US-China tensions and concerns about the US Tech stock rally weigh.
- In Asia, while Japan's markets are closed for holiday, China's SHANGHAI closed
down 128.342 pts or -3.86% at 3196.768 and the HANG SENG ended 557.67 pts lower
or -2.21% at 24705.33.
- European equities are sharply lower, with the German Dax down 241.41 pts or
-1.84% at 12862.67, FTSE 100 down 88.42 pts or -1.42% at 6122.86, CAC 40 down
84.12 pts or -1.67% at 4949.64 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 60.09 pts or -1.78% at
3311.65.
- U.S. futures are slightly off lows, with the Dow Jones mini down 107 pts or
-0.4% at 26435, S&P 500 mini down 13 pts or -0.4% at 3214.5, NASDAQ mini down
117.25 pts or -1.11% at 10430.25.
