CHINA: Global Times reports that the Beijing City gov't has raised the COVID-19
response level to Level II, which is up from Level III, in the four-tier
response system. The city had moved down to level III (i.e. fewer restrictions)
on June 6, so a turnaround after a brief respite. Now, the City advises people
not to leave the city unless necessary, and says anyone leaving should have a
COVID test.
- Helping contribute to risk-off move, as comes alongside an acceleration in
COVID cases in Florida (+3.6%, vs 2.5% 7-day avg).
