GOLD: Gold failed above the $1236 pivot level on Thursday, as U.S. stocks moved
higher in cash trade, before a late sell off in equity futures supported. The
yellow metal has benefitted from additional risk off flows in Asia-Pacific
dealing, but has stuck to a tight range overnight, with bulls now looking for a
move, followed by consolidation, above the pivot level to build a base, before
focussing on the July 09 high ($1266). Initial support is located at the October
22 low ($1220.2)
