GOLD: Gold has edged higher in Asia-Pac trade, last +$2/oz at $1,720/oz,
consolidating yesterday's gains after the failure to really test key support
earlier this week, which resulted in the formation of a doji candle on the daily
chart. The initial lines in the sand remain unchanged, with a focus on U.S.
President Trump's Friday address re: China evident.
