GOLD: Gold whipsawed late Wednesday, initially pushing higher on the release of
the FOMC's latest MonPol decision before easing during Fed Chair Powell's press
conference, largely tracking the swings seen in U.S. Tsy yields over that time.
- The yellow metal recovered from worst levels into the close, but has sagged
back towards Wednesday's session low during Asia-PAcific trade, last dealing at
~$1,273/oz, $3 or so softer on the day.
- A break below yesterday's trough will allow bears to focus on the 23 April
low.
