Government Boosting Awareness To Reduce Water Usage

  • The Colombian government is taking measures including getting thermal plants to operate at full capacity and creating awareness campaigns for people to reduce the use of water and electricity, Mines and Energy Minister Andres Camacho told Blu Radio. - Bloomberg
    • A reminder that around 10 days ago, water rationing was announced in the capital as reservoir levels had fallen to a critical threshold.
    • Average hydro reservoir levels are reported to currently be around 29% of total capacity. That’s close to the 27% level that is considered “critical” and may lead to power outages should it remain for a time.
