Grinding Higher From Lows

Global equities have ground higher after overnight lows.

  • Asian stocks closed higher, with Japan's NIKKEI up 171.02 pts or +0.74% at 23406.49 and the TOPIX up 11.78 pts or +0.73% at 1636.64. China's SHANGHAI closed up 25.523 pts or +0.79% at 3260.346 and the HANG SENG ended 189.77 pts higher or +0.78% at 24503.31
  • European equities are mixed, with the German Dax down 39.82 pts or -0.3% at 13168.06, FTSE 100 up 15.98 pts or +0.27% at 6019.54, CAC 40 down 8.83 pts or -0.18% at 5016.87 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 9.12 pts or -0.28% at 3303.93.
  • U.S. futures are up, led by tech, with the Dow Jones mini up 188 pts or +0.68% at 27733, S&P 500 mini up 30.75 pts or +0.92% at 3370.75, NASDAQ mini up 152 pts or +1.36% at 11328.
