WTI futures have failed to take out the Dec 4 highs in recent sessions, but the
uptrend from the Dec 24 low remains intact keeping the focus on the upside. A
break above $54.55 would open the Nov 16 high at $57.96 ahead of the 200-dma at
$64.51. Bears need to break below $50 to stabilise the outlook and target a
break of the 21-dma at $49.17. Below here would bring the Dec 24 low at $42.36
back into focus.
