FED: Have begun to see 2020 FOMC sell-side previews trickling in, but haven't

heard anything in a long time on the Judy Shelton/Christopher Waller nominations

for the 2 Fed board vacancies, announced by Trump back in July.

- Our D.C. team got an official response yest from Senate Banking Comm. on the

status of the nominations, and they said: No updates; no one has been formally

nominated, so any status inquiries should be directed to the White House.

- So ... sounds like nothing doing for the time being. Both seen as potentially

pursuing dovish policy if confirmed.

- Coincidentally, an article on Shelton came out overnight on BBG, saying she

"challenged an article of faith regarding the U.S. central bank in private

comments to a bank executive last month: that it should operate free of

political influence."
