ITALY
Italy's health ministry has reported that 1,733 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past 24 hours, the highest daily case total in four months.
- Italy has recorded in excess of 1,000 new cases per day for 10 of the past 14 days.
- However, its rising caseload has not seen a spike in fatalities, and at present the rate of increase has not approached those levels seen in France or Spain.
