near middle overnight range. Decent volume w/Mar17 taking top step (TYH>485k),
10Y yld 2.385%. Equities higher (emini +6.75, 2631.75) gold weaker (XAU -3.07,
1280.82), oil firmer (WTI +0.50, 57.80).
- Asia, stronger US$ vs. Yen (112.289) contributed to selling in Tsys, light
deal-tied and month end buying moderated move.
- London, Tsys maintained narrow/lower range for most part, making new lows appr
3-4 hours ago as core EGBs came under brief pressure, rebound soon after. Month
end buying again, better buying in 7s and 10s, real$ bought intermediates.
Bloomberg Barclays US Tsys index duration extension at +0.11yrs -- should be
more month end support through day.
- Swaps, spds running wider, spd curve flatter w/short end leading move, 5s10s
spd flatteners by real$, 2s5s7s fly receiver, deal-tied paying.
- Eurodollar futures, trading weaker, off overnight lows on modest volume, short
end rebound despite 3M LIBOR gain +0.0068 to 1.4874% (+0.0198/wk).
- Overnight repo, 3s and 10s remain tight.
