Henry Hub Declines After Larger than Normal Inventory Build

US Henry Hub falls back towards the lows of the day after a larger than normal weekly storage build although just below market expectations.

  • US Natgas JUN 23 down -2% at 2.35$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 19 May showed a build of +96bcf compared to expectation of a +100bcf build and the 5-year average for this time of year of +86bcf.
  • Total US inventories are still above the five year average at 2,336bcf compared to the average of 1,961bcf.
