Henry Hub Holds Gains After Large EIA Storage Draw

{us}{5i} US Henry Hub remains relatively unchanged in reaction to a slightly larger than expected draw in the latest EIA US weekly storage data. Front month is still up on the day but has pulled back from a high of 2.884$/mmbtu earlier today.

    • US Natgas FEB 24 up 2.5% at 2.71$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas JUL 24 down -0.9% at 2.65$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas JAN 25 down -0.8% at 3.92$/mmbtu
  • The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Jan 19 showed a draw of -326bcf compared to the expectation for a draw of -319bcf according to a Bloomberg survey and the seasonal normal draw of -149bcf.
  • Despite the large draw the total US inventories of 2,856bcf remain above the previous five year average of 2,730bcf.
