High Turnout Expected At Nov 18-19 APEC Summit

Most of the 21 APEC leaders have confirmed their attendance at the summit set for November 18-19 in Bangkok, Thailand's Prime Minister Prayuth said.

  • All member economies have accepted invitations to the summit, but some delegations will not be led by respective national leaders.
  • U.S. President Joe Biden is among those who will likely skip the event, while the leaders of Russia and China are expected to participate.
  • Security officials said they were beefing up monitoring and security measures to prevent any disruptions of the summit.
