STOCKS: HK & Chinese stocks were the notable underperformers, extending their
move lower after the Hang Seng & CSI 300 broke through key support levels on
Wednesday, with the recent threat from the U.S. re: imposing a 25% tariff on
$200bn worth Chinese goods weighing on the space.
- Trade worry spilled over to the remaining major regional indices, with the
Nikkei 225 losing 0.4%, as telecoms led the way lower & JGBs moved away from
lows, while the ASX 200 lost 0.2% as the heavyweight materials sector weighed.
- U.S. index futures hovered around neutral levels.
