Holding Tight Ranges

BOND SUMMARY

A dearth of headline/data flow has kept T-Notes trapped within a narrow 0-02 range, with the contract last trading -0-00+ at 131-31+, not too far from Thursday's high. Cash Tsy yields sit marginally higher across the curve, with 10s providing the weakest point. Eurodollar futures run unch. to +0.5 tick through the reds.

  • JGB futures remain rangebound, they sit at 151.35, 5 ticks above last settlement. Cash JGB yields are broadly lower, albeit only marginally. Local news flow has revolved around the planned tightening of Covid restrictions in Tokyo, Kyoto and Okinawa. The Japanese docket is very light, with 3-Month Bill supply coming up.
  • YM sits +0.5 & XM +2.0 at typing, with cash ACGB curve running flatter & yields last seen +0.1bp to -2.4bp. Bills trade -1 to +1 tick (though mostly unch.) through the reds.
