MNI BRIEF: ECB 'Committed' To Policy Transmission Through EZ

The European Central Bank is committed to maintaining policy transmission throughout the entire eurozone, President Christine Lagarde said Thursday, noting that tools either existed already, could be adapted from other tools or created from new to fight any fragmentation.

"We have an existing, flexible instruments - the reinvestment capacity under the PEPP - and if it is necessary we will deploy either existing adjusted instruments or new instruments that will be made available," she said.
