Hot Japanese Weather Likely to Pressure LNG Storage

Japan’s LNG storage for power generation remains stable as of late June but the country has recently faced its hottest days of the year with further forecast in the next week, pressuring cooling demand.

  • Storage remains above 2mt but risks slipping back towards the 1.5mt level if utilities have not booked enough volumes according to ICIS.
