House Passes USD886bn NDAA, Moves To Biden's Desk

The House of Representatives has passed by a 310-188 margin the National Defense Authorization Act, valued at USD886bn, that will see the Pentagon funded for another 12 months. Having already been passed in the Senate, the NDAA now goes to President Biden's desk for sign-off.

  • While the bill has eventually gone through with significant bipartisan support, historically the NDAA would pass with relatively little fanfare (for example the 2007 NDAA passed the House 398-23). That 188 representatives voted against the continued funding of the Department of Defense highlights the continued division within the House Republican caucus.
