UK DATA: Housing Inflation Accelerates in March, even as London Falls

-UK Mar House Price Index +1.4% y/y; April revised to +1.0% from +0.6%

-UK Mar London HPI -1.9% y/y, vs upwardly-revised -2.7% in Feb

House price inflation picked up a bit of steam in March, following 

upward revisions to HPI recorded in February. London prices continued to 

fall, and have not recorded an increase for the past 13 months, for a 

cumulative fall of 5.2%, according to an ONS official. However, the 

initially-reported 3.8% drop in London house prices in February was 

upwardly revised to a 2.7% drop.
