Hungary and Serbia Agree to Oil Pipeline Extension

Hungary and Serbia agree to build an oil pipeline that would allow Serbia to receive Russian Urals via the Druzhba oil pipeline.

  • "The new oil pipeline would enable Serbia to be supplied with cheaper Urals crude oil, connecting to the Friendship oil pipeline," Hungarian spokesman Zoltan Kovacs tweeted.
  • Serbia’s oil supply is largely through a Croatian pipeline which may be hit by sanctions in the future.
