  • The central bank will present its latest inflation report at 09:00BST/10:00CCET. As a reminder, it revealed at its policy meeting on Tuesday that it sees headline inflation averaging 3.5-3.9% this year, 2.7-3.6% in 2025 and 2.5-3.5% in 2026. This year’s range narrowed from the 3.0–4.5% seen in June, while in 2025 the range increased slightly, and 2026 was unchanged.   • Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto met with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in New York on Wednesday, his ministry said in a statement cited by MTI. Maintaining ties with Russia on the basis of mutual respect, and advancing cooperation in areas that are not affected by sanctions is in Hungary's interest, Szijjarto said after the meeting.
