Hungary Receiving Suitable Gas Volumes from Russia

Hungary is currently receiving necessary gas volumes from Russia’s Gazprom according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

  • "We are currently receiving volumes that satisfy us. It has occurred in the past that we have required additional volumes, and that we have requested them and have received them. If such a need arises, then we will appeal to Gazprom and the Russian government, though there is currently no such need," Szijjarto said.
  • Hungary receives Russian gas via the TurkStream and not through the Ukrainian corridor which looks set to potentially close at the end of the year.
