MNI EXCLUSIVE

Yesterday MNI held a webcast with Tom Barkin, Richmond Fed President and 2021 FOMC Voter. If you missed it, a replay is available here on YouTube. Alternatively, there are some of the key quotes from the event available here.

It's worth noting a couple of other MNI Exclusives out yesterday that are still relevant today:

  • China Deposit Caps Act Like PBOC Rate Cut

  • MNI INTERVIEW: BOJ Can Live With Modest Yen Fall; Ex-BOJ Aide
The Bank of Japan will look through any further modest yen decline though it is unlikely the currency will weaken sufficiently to prompt a policy response, a former senior official told MNI Monday, without elaborating on what level would spur the central bank into action.
