DOLLAR-YEN: In the absence of any news or data during the Asia session, large
options expiries around Y113.00 for US$2.86 billion may well prove alluring.
Tomorrow also sees strikes at Y113.00 for US$1.8bn and Y113.50 for a mammoth
US$3.45bn, so range trading seems likely in the near-term. The opening of
Japanese equity markets provides the initial focus, Nikkei future were last
around flat. Support has recently been found near to the daily cloud base, which
has moved lower from Y113.14 to Y112.73 today, while initial resistance lies at
Y113.35 (Dec26 high). Dollar-yen is currently changing hands at Y113.19.
