Indian Fuel Demand Dips in September m-o-m

Indian fuel demand fell on a monthly basis to 17.18 mn tonnes in September, down from 17.81mn tonnes in August, but was 8.8% higher than year ago levels according to Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell data.

  • High sulfur diesel sales fell from 6.34mn tonnes in August to 6.26mn tonnes in September.
  • Gasoline sales fell from 3.01mn tonnes in August to 2.83mn tonnes in September.
