Indian October Crude Imports Rose 2.2% YoY

Indian crude oil imports rose by 2.2% on the year in October to 18.53mn tons, provisional data from the oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell showed.

  • Crude oil imports were up from 17.5mn tons in September.
  • October oil products imports were up by 13.4% on the year to 4.41mn tons, and up by 7.6% on the month.
  • Total oil products exports in October stood at 4.47mn tons, up by 12.6% on the year but down from 4.81mn tons in September.
  • Diesel exports declined by 9.3% on the month in October to 2.11mn tons. Exports remained up by 2.2% from last year’s levels.
  • Gasoline exports fell by 32.4% on the months to 671,000 tons in October but up by 34.2% on the year.
