Indian Transport Fuel Exports Slipped in April

OIL PRODUCTS

Weak export margins constrained Indian oil product exports in April – particularly to Asia.

  • Oil product exports to Europe remained elevated post Feb-5 sanctions on Russian oil products.
  • Indian refinery runs are expected to remain strong except for BPCL’s Bina refinery which is scheduled for planned maintenance Mau/June.
  • Weaker oil product export demand from India is reflected in slowing crude loadings from Russia in recent weeks – its biggest crude supplier.
