India’s Feb Crude Processing Rose YoY

India’s crude oil processing rose to 20.9mn tons in February, above the government's target of 20.7mn tons and up by 0.5% on the year, preliminary data from the oil ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell showed.

  • India’s crude oil imports last month were down by 6.7% on the year to 18mn tons.
  • Oil product imports rose by 8.1% on the year to 4mn tons, while exports also rose by 13.7% year on year to 5.8mn tons.
  • Indian Oil throughput -5.1% y/y to 5.6m tons
  • Bharat Petroleum -5.9% y/y to 3.2m tons
  • Hindustan Petroleum +7.7% y/y to 2.8m tons
  • Reliance Industries flat at 4.9m tons
  • Nayara Energy flat at 1.6m tons
