ASIA PRESS: Interesting article from Nikkei Sunday, outlining hoped for joint
efforts from Japan, EU and the US in "pressuring China on fair trade". Economic
and trade officials to hold talks this Tuesday, looking to create "a framework
to address national policies that could be harmful to fair trade, such as excess
production, preferential treatment and indirect subsidies to state enterprises."
Nikkei notes while the US has led free-trade efforts in the past, they warned
"if the U.S. turns it back on the WTO, global trade flows could be thrown into
turmoil."
