Ipec Poll, Central Bank Focus Survey Due

  • Ipec releases poll on the presidential runoff commissioned by TV Globo. In the last poll, former Brazil president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had 51% of the voting intentions, while incumbent Jair Bolsonaro reached 43%.
    • Former president Lula said that his proposals are already detailed in his government program, during a press conference held this Friday with Simone Tebet.
  • Central bank releases Focus survey, with analysts’ estimates for GDP, FX, inflation and Selic rate, on its website at 1225BST/0725ET.
  • IPCA inflation data is due on Tuesday with the annual rate expected to decline further to 7.12% Y/y.
