Iran Producing 3mn Bpd of Crude: Minister of Petroleum

Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji says that the country’s oil production has reached nearly 3mn bpd according to IRNA.

  • Owji said Iran’s capacity for producing light crude oil had increased by 200,000 bpd, allowing the country to boost its total output to around 3 million bpd.
  • He said the Petroleum Ministry was working on projects to pursue higher quality fuel production at the country’s refineries. A project has come on line in Isfahan Refinery in central Iran producing around 15 million liters per day in Euro 5 diesel fuel production capacity.
  • Euro 5 standard fuel production will soon be launched in refineries in Abadan in southwest and in Tabriz in northwest Iran he added.
