Iranian Crude/Condensate Exports ~1.35mn bpd June: Kpler Prelim Figures

OIL

Kpler preliminary estimate for Iranian crude/condensate exports in June is 1.35mn bpd down from 1.48mn bpd in May.

  • Numerous vessel tracking agencies had placed May flows at around 1.5-1.6mn bpd a five-year high, stoked by demand from China.
  • The high pace of exports has heavily drawn down crude/condensate stockpiles in Iran.
  • Iranian crude production was ~3mn bpd last month based on numerous agency estimates – the highest since late 2018.
  • TankerTrackers preliminary figures recorded 51 tankers departing Iran during June 2023 and only two of them (both Iranian) were not spotted by satellite imagery but did appear on AIS after departure.
