Iraq Oil Exports at 3.413mn bpd in April

Iraq’s oil exports dipped slightly in April to 3.413 mn bpd, the second monthly drop in a row of 10,000 bpd, according to a senior Oil Ministry official speaking with the Iraq Oil Report.

  • The country's oil sales have averaged just above 3.402 million bpd in the first four months of the year - 60,000 bpd lower than average exports in the second half of 2023.
  • Bloomberg tracking indicated a gain in April but at a similar export level. Total observed crude exports rose to 3.41m b/d in April Bloomberg said from a revised 3.16m b/d in March, according to tanker-tracking and port-agent data.
  • Iraq in March promised to lower exports to make up for pumping above its OPEC target, but LSEG data on Monday showed it missed the pledge last month. April output is down slightly from March, according to a Reuters survey this week.
