FOREX: It has been a particularly sedate Asia-Pac session, risk sentiment
struggled for a clear direction. G10 crosses were happy to meander within tight
ranges. NOK is heading for the London session as the best performer in the
basket, after the Norges Bank struck some hawkish notes in y'day's communique.
NZD underperformed its G10 peers at the margin, with focus in NZ turning to next
week's monetary policy decision from the RBNZ.
- Regional geopolitics and resurfacing coronavirus infections in South Korea
sapped some strength from KRW. IDR also struggled, as yesterday saw Indonesia
report a record jump in domestic coronavirus cases, while BI delivered an
expected 25bp cut to its benchmark policy rate. 
- UK & Canadian retail sales take focus from here. Central bank speaker slate
features Fed's Powell, Mester, Quarles and Rosengren.
