EGB SUMMARY: It has been a quiet day in EGBs with Bunds moving a little higher,
semi-core spreads a little changed and peripheral spreads generally wider.
- We have seen a raft of countries reporting their Q2 GDP data, including France
which saw growth of 0.2% Q/Q, a tenth below expectations of 0.3%. Meanwhile
German HICP was a tenth higher than expected on a M/M basis, but a tenth lower
on a Y/Y basis. None of today's data has really moved the market.
- Irish spreads continue to be the talking point of the day as no deal Brexit
expectations continue to remain elevated. IGB-Bund 10y spreads are 2.5bp wider
on the day.
- Bund futures are up 0.10 today at 174.56 with 10y Bund yields down -0.9bp at
-0.402% and Schatz yields up 0.6bp at -0.765%.
- BTP futures are down -0.34 today at 139.11 with 10y yields up 3.4bp at 1.604%
and 2y yields up 2.5bp at 0.016%.
- OAT futures are up 0.02 today at 166.72 with 10y yields down -0.2bp at -0.143%
and 2y yields up 0.3bp at -0.699%.
